World famous today as the home of the Terracotta Warriors, Xian has played host to more emperors and dynasties than any other city, and once ranked alongside Rome and Constantinople as ‘Greatest City in the World’.
The Terracotta Warriors are symbols of the powerful Qin Dynasty, when under the leadership of Emperor Qin Shi Huang, the country was unified after years of warfare. Today we again turn to the soldiers for assistance in our quest for peace and prosperity.This time, however, we are inspired by the beautiful formations of the statues, the details of their clothing, the intricate hairstyles, and the plan shapes of the excavation pits.
