This is a holistic design to create the most environmentally and socially advanced riverfront community in China’s most advanced city. This will be the live-work home for the new global generation of creative thinkers and innovators, who demand a high-energy harmony between nature and the city, between work and play, between neighborhood and international access.This will be Shanghai’s greenest, most sophisticated, new-China district. An invigorating destination for all Shanghainese, and a bold expansion of Pudong’s green public riverfront.
The plan calls for establishing a remarkable park system woven into strong, river-oriented residential neighborhoods where everyone lives within two blocks of the parks. Where world-class sports amenities are part of everyday living.
The environmental landscaping design is international state of the art, with regenerative natural systems that also create and improve human comfort as well as ecological stewardship. That cleans stormwater runoff ecologically before returning it to the “mother river.” The development’s green frame buffers the highway, filters the air and offsets carbon. Its broad and airy green spaces direct river cooling breezes throughout the site.
